At Atelier Bears we look after your personal data in line with Panama’s Law 81 of 2019 on Personal Data Protection and its regulation, Executive Decree 285 of 2021. Here we explain, in plain words, what data reaches us, what we use it for and what rights you have.
1. Data controller
Pedro Miguel Julio Mendoza (Atelier Bears), private individual, Panama City. Email: Pemijume3089@gmail.com.
2. What data reaches us
This website has no forms, accounts or online payments. We only receive data in these cases:
- If you write to us on WhatsApp, by email or on Instagram: your name, your number or username, your email, the messages and the photos or references you send, and the delivery details you give us for an order (for example, your address).
- If you accept measurement cookies: website usage data (pages viewed, device, browser, approximate country or city), through Google Analytics.
- If you accept advertising cookies: data about your visit to measure and show ads, through the Meta pixel.
If you do not accept cookies, nothing from Google or Meta is loaded. More details in the Cookie policy.
3. What we use it for
- Answering your questions.
- Handling your order or commission: confirming the piece, painting it, arranging payment and delivery.
- If you agree: knowing how many people visit the website and measuring our ads.
We do not sell your data or use it for anything else.
4. Why we may use it (legal basis)
We use your data with your consent: when you write to us, when you order a piece and when you accept cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time (for cookies, with the “Cookie settings” button in the footer).
5. Who it is shared with
- BanaHosting: hosts this website.
- Meta: the company behind WhatsApp and Instagram, where you write to us; and behind the Meta pixel, only if you accept advertising.
- Google: Google Analytics, only if you accept measurement.
- DHL: receives your name, address and phone number when we ship internationally.
Each of them handles data under its own privacy policy.
6. Transfers outside Panama
Some of these providers store data on servers outside Panama (for example, in the United States or in Europe). When you use WhatsApp, Instagram or email to write to us, or when you accept cookies, that data may travel outside the country, with each provider’s security measures.
7. How long we keep it
- Conversations and order details: as long as needed to handle your order or enquiry and meet legal obligations.
- Photos and references you send us for a commission: we keep them as a record of the work done. You can ask us to delete them by emailing Pemijume3089@gmail.com with the subject “My data”.
- Cookie data: as long as stated in the Cookie policy.
8. Your rights
You can ask at any time for:
- Access: to know what data of yours we hold.
- Rectification: to correct it.
- Cancellation: to have it deleted.
- Objection: to have us stop using it.
- Portability: to receive it in a format you can take elsewhere.
How: email us at Pemijume3089@gmail.com with the subject “My data”, saying which right you want to use. We may ask you to confirm it is you. We will reply within the period set by law.
9. Authority
If you believe we are not handling your data properly, you can file a complaint with Panama’s National Authority for Transparency and Access to Information (ANTAI).
10. Minors
This website is aimed at adults. If you are a minor, please ask your parent or guardian to write to us for you. We do not knowingly keep data from minors without the consent of their parents or guardians.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here with its date. If the change is important, we will let you know on the website.
