1. Who is behind this website

This website belongs to Atelier Bears, the art atelier of Pedro Miguel Julio Mendoza, a private individual based in Panama City, Republic of Panama.

2. What we do

Atelier Bears sells hand-painted artworks: ready pieces, commissions with your own design and pre-order pieces. The website is a showcase: it shows the pieces and their prices, but it does not sell or take payments online. Every order is arranged directly on WhatsApp.

3. How to order

Message us on WhatsApp from the piece or commission button.
We confirm whether the piece is available (or, for a commission, the idea, the price and the timing).
We agree on payment and delivery.
The order is confirmed once we both accept it on WhatsApp.

The terms for pre-orders and commissions (for example, whether a deposit is needed) are agreed on WhatsApp before we start.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars (USD).
You can pay by ACH bank transfer, Yappy or cash.
The website does not take or store any payment details (cards, accounts or passwords).
The price of a commission is agreed on WhatsApp based on your design.

5. Delivery and shipping

Available piece: immediate delivery, on the date we agree.
Piece that needs to be prepared (commission or pre-order): about one week, depending on the piece. We confirm the timing on WhatsApp.
Free delivery in Panama.
Shipping nationwide and abroad. International shipments are sent with DHL, and the DHL rate is paid by the customer.
Taxes and duties charged by the destination country are paid by the customer, in addition to the DHL rate.

6. Returns

Each piece is unique and painted by hand, so we only accept returns if the piece arrives damaged.

Let us know on WhatsApp or by email within 48 hours of receiving the piece, sending photos of the damage.
We review the case and agree on a solution with you.

Small variations in colour, stroke or texture that come with a hand-painted piece are not considered damage.

7. Commissions with your ideas or photos

If you send us photos, colours or references for a commission, you confirm that you have the right to use them.
We use them only to paint your piece.
We do not publish photos of you or of your commission without your permission.
We keep reference photos as a record of the work done. You can ask us to delete them (see how in the Privacy policy).

8. Intellectual property

The texts, photographs, logo, monogram and design of this website and of the pieces belong to Atelier Bears / Pedro Miguel Julio Mendoza, unless stated otherwise. They may not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without written permission.

9. No affiliation

Original artworks by Atelier Bears, painted by hand. Not affiliated with or endorsed by any other brand or artist. Pieces inspired by works of Van Gogh or Mondrian state it in their description as their inspiration.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Panama. If you have any question or complaint, write to us first and we will look for a solution.
